A KINGDOM WELCOMES THE LITTLE PRINCE!

A kingdom of family and friends celebrated this lovely morning to welcome the arrival of little Joel Michael! What a magnificent day it was as so many dear friends collectively got together to make this day a special one for you! The tables were set with a color scheme of dragon greens and blue and everywhere you turned there was one on your table nesteled in a beautiful topiary to protect you! They made sure that everything was perfect including the fabulous brunch that your Grandma had prepared! Quiches, Blueberry Lemon Oatmeal Cake, Swedish Meatballs, Fruit Salad and the most amazing flavored waters! Everything was extra special including the love that welcomes you home! Congratulations Amanda and John to the third little addition to your kingdom!

THE ORANGEWOOD CHILDREN'S FOUNDATION!

A little Donation to the Orangewood Children's Foundation for this Monday!

Orangewood Children’s Foundation is a private, nonprofit organization founded in 1981. Our mission is to provide innovative services for abused and neglected children and at-risk families to end the cycle of child abuse one life at a time. Foundation programs focus on the areas of education, supportive services, life-stage transition and child abuse prevention. Beyond its programs, for thousands in our communities Orangewood means “family,” “opportunity” and “hope.”

For the past three years, The Eric Pepys Memorial Golf Tournament has raised over $200,000 in scholarship funds to support former foster youth in their pursuit of higher education. This fund, called the Advanced Studies Scholarship, provides former foster youth who have already earned a bachelor’s degree with support to continue their education in masters programs or other specialized advanced studies. To date we have had the privilege of providing scholarships to over 20 well-deserved foster youth.

This year’s event will take place on Monday, August 20, 2012, at the Santa Ana Country Club. It will include a golf tournament followed by a fun summer party with dinner, music and an auction, and will be highlighted by remarks from a youth in the Advanced Studies program.

GOOD OL' CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES!

Okay, so it's 100 something degree weather outside, with a tropical storm on the horizon, predictions of a tornado coming soon perhaps and a temperature so darn sweltering hot that I decided to do a little personal baking! Why not pop the top off the thermometer! What? Did you say warnings of a tornado here in California? No way! Rest assured, I at least made something comforting while a storm is brewing up in the near brink of natural disasters coming soon! Oh! The greatness of the good old fashioned chocolate chip cookie saves any day!

MY- SWEETER THAN CUPCAKE'S- EMMALINE IS BACK HOME!

There were quite a few days without my Emmaline this year! She spent months overseas in Europe having a spa vacation to rejuvenate her looks and spirits and when she came home, I found my girl broken! Luckily, I knew of a a fabulous customizer in the Bay Area to take her in and repair her fragile broken neck. I am so appreciative of all the work and artistry that goes into these custom blythe dollies that it has opened up a new found love! I do hope to share with you some of the adventures I have in store for those who admire these dolls as well....

So anyway, I am so glad to have my very first blythe sweetest thing ever back with me again! YAY!
