A little Donation to the Orangewood Children's Foundation for this Monday!

Orangewood Children’s Foundation is a private, nonprofit organization founded in 1981. Our mission is to provide innovative services for abused and neglected children and at-risk families to end the cycle of child abuse one life at a time. Foundation programs focus on the areas of education, supportive services, life-stage transition and child abuse prevention. Beyond its programs, for thousands in our communities Orangewood means “family,” “opportunity” and “hope.”

For the past three years, The Eric Pepys Memorial Golf Tournament has raised over $200,000 in scholarship funds to support former foster youth in their pursuit of higher education. This fund, called the Advanced Studies Scholarship, provides former foster youth who have already earned a bachelor’s degree with support to continue their education in masters programs or other specialized advanced studies. To date we have had the privilege of providing scholarships to over 20 well-deserved foster youth.

This year’s event will take place on Monday, August 20, 2012, at the Santa Ana Country Club. It will include a golf tournament followed by a fun summer party with dinner, music and an auction, and will be highlighted by remarks from a youth in the Advanced Studies program.
