A GIRLS NIGHT OUT!

Glammed up and Fabulous! Last night couldn't have been more enjoyable for Bianca and her invited friends as she had won this Gift Certificate on behalf of Ditzie Cakes and the girls at Victoria Spa and Salon, Audrey McKinley and Kim Kirker Photography! Well, I think it was enjoyable for all of us actually as we all sipped on chocolate martini's, cupcakes and sang our hearts out on that Kareoke! Congratualtions again Bianca!

MY NEW {BUT OLD} KODAK TOURIST!

Lately, I have been in the mood for acquiring new things that are very old. I guess I am just feeling enamored with the look of nostalgic but classy objects! I have acquired some old brewery crates from the early 1900'a from NYC that I just recently displayed as props on a wedding dessert table and acquired some old twin lens cameras that I hope to use for a photo shoot for my recently engaged brother! But this..... I love! My new {but old} Kodak Tourist!

A little bit of blue skies, the warmth of a Southern California day for October, a perfect location of the Fairbanks Ranch, Del Mar and a beautiful couple made this an ideal wedding day! I must admit that having beautiful pictures to remember every aspect of a special occasion is wonderful for collecting memories...but by far, to have a crew from Cutis Nemetz capture a new take on it IS how you should remember it all! I had the pleasure of watching Adam Welch and Hilary's imagination set free with artistry! It was so wonderful to see yet impressive "still moments" become a moving work of art! Well, I was overwhelmed with enthusiasm and I think that if any couple should be getting married or family that just wants to capture a special event ought to consider adding this brilliant medium to their collection! So enjoy this small teaser and yes....it is just a small teaser as the full version for April and Brad's Wedding Day is the one to watch out for! Just awesome!

There are certain things in this world that I can't live without! The joy of cupcakes and intriguing jewelry by Silpada Designs. I love them both so I officially have two businesses that I enjoy doing as well as the Textile and Graphic design that I also manage. So in the next two weeks I am going to be putting on a Silpada and Ditzie Cakes' party....you are all invited if you dare!

MY NEW VINTAGE FIND! EIGHT TOPOGRAPHY MAPS!

It's so nice to find something unique, rare and special and then have it come delivered to your mail box! I had recently come across a site that I am just in love with! In her store is the most amazing precious finds and one find that I couldn't pass up this time around. My youngest brother just recently got engaged and I offered him and my soon to be sister in law an engagement present! I thought that it just might be kind of nice to do a romantic photoshoot in November sometime.....not sure when? But I have a great concept and a great theme that I think will suit the two perfectly. I came across these eight maps and when they are opened.... they are simply stunning. They are typography maps all the way from the East Coast! I figured it might be appropriate to have the two overlooking a plot of land since they are literally beginning to do the same. Like the pioneers did back in the day when they came out West, surveyed a piece of ideal land, put a stake in it and then built a home and wonderful memories. So this is my idea and there will be plenty more to build off of this theme as I find more great stuff along the way!

DITZIE HOT CHOCO-SPOONS ON A STICK IN SALTED CARAMEL!

These little lovelies sure have been a crowd pleaser lately. Especially because the Seasons have changed and we are moving into the chill of Fall and Winter in which a toasted fire and hot cocoa seem so appropriate. So far, Ditzie Cakes has managed to tryout a few flavors such as the Cookies and Cream and this Salted Caramel. I am thrilled and possibly over zealous about trying out a lot more! These are going to be so much fun for the Holidays!
