The days are counting down to Mel and Rey's Second Chance photoshoot this very Sunday! Here are a few things that I have been working on in preperation to this magical day! The glittered sparrows took a little time to cut out but I am loving the Martha Stewart results. The second idea I had was to create a tag that I thought was very symbolic of LOVE in general as both ultimately hold the key for eachother's love. The couple, as you will soon find out, are a terrific combination of classical and well refined with a little bit of edge! This is going to be fun to create a dessert table to compliment their style!

A SECOND CHANCE WEDDING!

What an sensational feeling to be able to have that second chance to do things right in LIFE once again! Hopefully it is not the wedding that is second time around! "May the first one be loving and prosperous!" But rather, wedding photos taken over again because they weren't what you had hoped them to be the first time around! For whatever reason this may has caused a couple to be disheartened, Kaysha Weiner Photography and a few friends are making it up to a winning couple! Congratulations Melanie and Rey for being our chosen lucky couple! Ditzie Cakes will definitely make it up to you too! XOXO

BIRTHDAY WISHES FOR JESSICA REES!

Sweet Jessica Rees.... this girl had won my heart a million times over with her faith and beautiful courage! I became a big fan of her's when she posted her fan page on Facebook about a month ago. My support for her by becoming her biggest fan was so that she would reach her 5,000 fan goal! Well she certainly had managed to reach that in record time and now has succeeded a fan base of 12,326 as we speak and growing! As some of you may or may not know, she is battling an inoperable brain tumor and thus created her Cause and a wonderful organization called "Joy Jars. org" has inspired so many of us! I read her postings daily......where each and every day she holds -dear in my heart- pockets full of sunshine! You brighten my day Jessica! And so I wish that you had a wonderful celebration with your dear friends last night to celebrate a belated birthday! Happy Birthday..... my sweet sunshine! XOXO Andie

SERVING IT ON THE MENU!

It was the event I had been long planning and baking for! "LIDO GOES POP!" was worth the effort as these treats definitely flew off the dessert table last night! It took less than 2 hours for these tantalizing treats make a good impression and had all disappeared in record time. What a fabulous night it was! Thank you to Riviera Magazine and Newport Beach Film Festival for having Ditzie Cakes be a part of this extraordinary event. And I would also like to thank Leslie and Mariela from Dooney and Bourke for sharing their studio space with me and 500 cupcakes! You girls were so sweet to have accommodated Ditzie Cakes for the festival night! Thank you so much!!!!!

These Flutter Pops will surely be a hit on Thursday night at "Lido Goes Pop!" in Newport Beach! It's always amazing to witness these delightful Truffle Pops to be the first to literally fly off the dessert table!
