A RETRO 50'S BIRTHDAY!

Imagine going back to the 50's when life was playful and simple! This retro 50' s party was a step back in time for Jim and Carol who celebrated their 70th birthday party together with friends and family.....including me! I have had the pleasure to know Jim and Carol ever since my best friend married David with which the acquaintance grew through all of those wonderful family get together's. MY BEATERS TOOK A BEATING!

Either I have been baking too extremly much lately or things just aren't made to last anymore? I had a Kitchen Aid hand mixer for over 15 years and recently replaced it with a 7 speed barely a year ago. I was so bummed to discover what happened after hearing something not right when beating some batter! Woah! I exclaimed, "How is that possible? These are steel?" And of course, I can't find the receipt so I have to buy some new attachments. I wonder if I should get the 9 speed?

If there is anything that makes my world a better place....it's my little Nina! Anyone who owns a pet definitely knows that your BFF { Best Fur Friend } makes the heart grow fonder every passing day. How I love her.... my little chihuahua, Nina!

LUAU ENGAGEMENT PARTIES ARE FUN!

The scene was set with every hawaiian luau item you could possibly think of! All signs led to the luau party which was going to take place for this newly engaged couple. Tiki torches led the way up the driveway and a sign post directed you straight to the where the cocktails were.... my favorite... Margaritas were being served! Oh, I digress. Well, it looked like it was going to be a fun evening and I hope the cupcakes were sure to delight!!

STRAWBERRY-LICIOUS!

All I can say...is that this is my new favorite! And really, I feel as though there will be another strawberrylicious craving coming on soon..... Gotta go!

CHAU AND DANNY'S WEDDING DAY!

What a gorgeous afternoon this Wedding Day was for Chau and Danny! It was celebrated on the beautiful golf greens nestled behind the Irvine Hills at the quaint Strawberry Farms Golf Course! Hole at the 18th ...for this happy and beautiful couple! All my best to you both for a beautiful life together!Strawberry Farms truely is a remarkably well hidden place in Irvine behind those rolling hills south of the freeway! Who knew? I remember I was a bike ride with a cute boyfriend of mine when we rode past it..... and I thought they just grew strawberries!

What a nice refreshing change and these little dresses and those jeans!.....OMG! ..... are so darn cute! RED ROSES AND A BRIDAL SHOWER!

The bridal shower was themed with red, black and white..... Love was in the air as it reminded me of the romance on Valentines Day! My customer and her beautiful daughter came to pick up their order this morning and brought me a long stem red rose! I was deeply touched by the beauty of the rose and their gesture! (I took a picture of it here!) Thank you so much Diane and your beautiful daughter Allie! I hope your friend's bridal shower was just as lovely!

KSUCHA'S ADOPTION PARTY!

How special can a day get when there is a beautiful celebration for an adopted child entering into the arms of two loving and open hearted parents here in Orange County! This young girl has come all the way from Russia! I was so excited to be a part of this magical and exciting day for all of the 200 family and friends who wanted to welcome Ksucha into her new home. My neighbor Lisa and a group of her friends worked so hard to create the perfect party to remember. I wanted to go out of my way to support the cause. The party turned out to be a success and I hope to post pictures of the new loving family here very soon! Stay tuned!

And here she is!...... It looks to me like the day turned out to be very joyful and loving day!

BRIDGET'S BRIDAL SHOWER!

I just couldn't wait to get these posted! Tomorrow I am going to finish up an order for a sweet customer of mine. These pretty little boxes that I designed will be filled with a Vanilla Bean cupcake and wrapped up with a pretty chartreuse bow when they are done. I just won't have time to take pictures that dang early in the morning so I took them before hand when the lighting was good. I will see what pictures come out tomorrow morning.....and if they are good I will be sure to add to this pretty little post!! (Yep!...thank god for Photoshop to correct color!)Darlene is the same customer who order the tuscany cupcakes and I want to be sure that I will impress her again the second time around! =)
