ANDIE'S HALLOWEEN HAUNT!

Cast your Spells and Let the Wicket Deed be Done! I couldn't wait to start the planning for the little Trick O' Treat party I am hosting. There were labels to be designed for all the Apothocary Jars and small tags to be created for the goodie bags that everyone will take home with them. The new flavor I created for the cupcake shown here is Chocolate Pumpkin. It has a deep chocolate base with a hint of pumpkin and spices along with a Pumpkin Cream Cheese Buttercream that has a touch of orange and a pinch of spice. Now that's what I'm talking about casting a good wicked potion! I was truely having a terrorific time with all of this..... I hope my guests will too!

CANKU'S 5TH ANNIVERSARY!

My next door neighbor, Lisa, always gives me a great cause to create cupcakes for! She is part of another terrific organization called CANKU which in the native Indian language means "The Road"- The Road to Successful Living. They are missionaries donating their time to rebuild personal bridges to those primarily in South Dakota. They just celebrated their 5th Anniversary this Monday! There are many way to help and the one other is the Canku Craft website where your purchase supports the arts and crafts of the Lakota artisans. Just fabulous!

JORDAN'S BAT MITZVAH!

Today, Jordan celebrated her Bat Mitzvah in the beautiful setting of the Coto de Caza's Golf and Racquet Club. The setting couldn't have been more perfect for this lovely girl who wanted to set the theme with her favorite passion..... the game of tennis! I heard that she is a real talent and I wish her much success in her future! For this occasion, I hope that this particular tennis game tasted really good! Best wishes Jordan!

MODERN LOLA?

You have got to love this store! I came across MODERN LOLA when I was looking for white square cake stands. I purchased three of them with the intent of getting the matching smaller stands sometime soon. Modern Lola contacted me when they happened to check out my site, asking that if I have pictures to show them when I have used these stands to send them a photo! How cool of them to ask me... I knew they were a cool store to begin with! Well, I went back onto their site and of course found products with fabric that I designed! Here is one of my favorite managerie patterns that's on a BUGABOO Cameleon Stroller. Those buggies are really expensive! I also found my cupcake pattern on a baby bib and burpee and also a sweet cherry that Cat's Pajama's used for their line about a year ago! All you cool mom's need to check out this adorable online store!

MY BEATERS TOOK A BEATING!

Either I have been baking too extremly much lately or things just aren't made to last anymore? I had a Kitchen Aid hand mixer for over 15 years and recently replaced it with a 7 speed barely a year ago. I was so bummed to discover what happened after hearing something not right when beating some batter! Woah! I exclaimed, "How is that possible? These are steel?" And of course, I can't find the receipt so I have to buy some new attachments. I wonder if I should get the 9 speed?

LUAU ENGAGEMENT PARTIES ARE FUN!

The scene was set with every hawaiian luau item you could possibly think of! All signs led to the luau party which was going to take place for this newly engaged couple. Tiki torches led the way up the driveway and a sign post directed you straight to the where the cocktails were.... my favorite... Margaritas were being served! Oh, I digress. Well, it looked like it was going to be a fun evening and I hope the cupcakes were sure to delight!!
