VINTAGE COUTURE TRUFFLE POPS!

A vintage find.....makes for a beautiful photo! I found this lovely vintage kitchen scale the other day on Etsy and I am smitten by it's lovely character. It smiles at me everytime I see it! I just really wanted to have the old scale in every shot more than I did the pretty Couture Truffle Pops and the fondant flowers I made! Oh well, I think I gave it my best shot...ha!

Today, my given quest, was for taking the best shots for a publication I am a participant in. It is with great pride that Ditzie Cakes makes my Representative, Judy Moreland of Panache Publishing, very proud! This is her book Experiencing: Southern California and for her only "the best of the best" will do! I couldn't have met a greater person in this world at a particularly uncertain time in my life. Realizing when the most amazing, uplifting and life changing person comes into your life ......well, the road becomes clear! Thank you so much Judy for giving me "certainty" and sharing a beautiful friendship that I will cherish..... always!

Sophia was the perfect babylicious model last Monday giving it her best pose in a pair of these Ruffled Bottom Bloomers which landed my first sale!!!! More Bloomers in three different patterns will be coming soon and I will be sure to let you all know they are in the House.....that is .....the Ditzie Couture House!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY ADA!

Yeah! I got to finally meet the winning bidder of the gift basket that I put together for the Euro Car OC Holiday Gala fund raiser last December! Ada put it good use as she is celebrating her fabulous birthday with family and friends tonight at The Wine Artist in Lake Forest! The place has a lovely Tuscan feel to it so I thought I would liven that Tuscan-Wine theme up with florals in nice rich color tones. So I never knew that there was such a place here in town...... how great!

It was a beautiful Christmas Day and I couldn't be more blessed to have shared it with my dear family and my friends! For this I am truely thankful....... and of course my sweet Chihuahua for I love her with all my heart and soul!

Good Times! Good Cheer! Lot's of Giving to share to those who are in need! Surrounded by all of this Holiday Goodness is just a few of my favorite things! Euro Car OC had put on a fabulous event last Friday, December 17th and these are some pretty amazing pictures captured by Natacia Manibusan! And I too made a little donation to support The Joy Foundation..... that always makes me feel so good!

EURO CAR OC'S HOLIDAY GALA!

This was a night to be truly Joyful!!! EuroCar OC hosted their Annual Holiday Gala which not only Decked out the Halls to bring in the Christmas spirit but also brought out the true spirit of giving....

All proceeds from this beautiful event was extended to The Joyful Foundation. The Joyful Foundation is an organization of volunteers dedicated to providing comfort to individuals in their time of illness or hardship. They are most known for their hand sewn fleece blankets which hospitals receive for their patients as well as victims of spousal abuse and their children! So what a great cause to keep giving!

And what a fun and exciting night for Ditzie Cakes! A big thank you goes out to Tilo and Paula Steurer for being such gracious hosts for bringing in the Holidays!

My favorite customer wanted to give the gift of Ditzie Cakes for her neighbors and friends this holiday! There were packages with each of a "Snowball" and a "Peppermint Bark" together tied with a bright green ribbon and an adorable tag with Sadie and her new sister Lucy! The Svitenko Family Christmas card had left me with a beautiful impression that I just wanted to capture again and again! So it was a must to have all the truffle pops and cupcake favors affectionately personalized with "Happy Holiday's... love the Svitenko Family!" in this modern twist of pink and green. No sweet treat will be denied the presentation of being tied!

WELCOME BROOKE ELIZABETH!

It's a beautiful day for Amanda's baby shower! Even though the weather forecasts some showers by this evening, that shouldn't matter.... for today the skies are perfect to celebrate the welcoming of Brooke Elizabeth! She is definitely going to be loved by her big sister Lainey and of course Amanda and John's entire family! We can't wait to meet you Brooke!

TRENTON'S BIRTHDAY.....SAFARI STYLE!

How lucky I am to keep meeting wonderful new people..... I couldn't feel more blessed and lucky! Yesterday, I had an order from a very talented lady by the name of Janean Bagley Lindner who I have been introduced to by a mutual friend. Her son Trenton was turning a big 15 years old yesterday and she wanted to celebrate with her and her family's favorite! Maybe that would be something lemony and something ....like in the form of a cupcake! Anyway, they were well received and I must let my customers know that Janean's photography is superb! THE GIFT DITZIE CAKES LOVES TO GIVE!

As the year draws to end, the holidays rekindle that loving spirit which bring out good tidings and cheer! I love this time of year! And once again, I love giving to my deepest and fondest charity which is the Camino Health Center Auxiliary. Today, they held there annual Fashion Show at the Ritz Carlton in Dana Point. My wishes are that Ditzie Cakes may continue to support the Auxiliary's efforts for years to come! This year, I managed to auction off a the Story Book Donation which I posted back on November 1st! These pretty little cupcakes were dispayed at the membership table.......I can't wait to see who won this year!

ESTEBAN'S FIRST BIRTHDAY!

Jessica has a beautiful little boy by the name of Esteban! She definitely took the liberty to make her very first born's first birthday an amazing one! The jungle was part of the theme and over the past few weeks, I have watched her plan and design invitations, make the birthday banner and put together numerous pom poms for the decor! Jessica is definitley on her way to becoming a stylist and event planner here very soon and I can't wait to see it when it happens!
I hope to see how it all came together last Saturday!

A BOUNTIFUL HARVEST!

Autumn brings heavenly spices and scents of fond memories of my Mom baking in the kitchen! The aroma of a hint of cinnamon in the apple pie, pumpkin with a splash of bourban, gingered pear, maple and all of those savory smells which are enough to make you drool anxiously as you wait for Mom to take the scrumptious pie from the oven. I love that warm comforting feeling of what Autumn brings! The joy of family and good friends......and the hearty joy of extravagant cooking!

A LITTLE STORY BOOK DONATION BASKET!

Once again, it's that awesome time of year where Ditzie Cakes likes to give a little towards it's favorite charity - The Camino Auxiliary! I can't believe that it has been three years since I have been introduced to such a great organization. For this auction, held at the Ritz Carlton on November 23rd.... I kept it simple. I wanted my future customer & winning bidder of this gift basket to create their own story! I included a "Little Brag Book" which captured about 20 pages or so showing the endless possibilities I had done for other customers. Hopefully this future winning bidder will be another sweet story to add to the Ditzie Cakes memoires! I am looking forward to meeting my winner..... Good luck and see you soon!!!!
